Just finished putting together my Digital Nimbus Invader PDW. The frame, arm brace and few other pieces are printed in Esun PLA+. The design was originally intended for a Glock 17L upper, but all I have on hand is my G24 upper. We will see how well the frame holds up to the extra punishment...
Haha, I was thinking a good serial number would be GAYTF6969 personally. I have had people try to buy frames from me, the problem I see with selling them is the legal grey area, but more importantly I don’t want people to assume my frame is as strong as or will last as long as a P80 or factory...
It’s holding up really well, I have put roughly 300 rounds of FMJ’s through it with no signs of stress on the frame. It would be kind of a greyish area if I were to give someone a frame. When it comes off the printer it is definitely not ready to shoot. I’m not exactly sure where the line is...
I printed it grip down using tree supports in cura. I used tree supports and a raft to make support clean up much faster. Printing top down takes way too long to remove supports and is easy to damage the frame.
It was the first frame I printed, so I took it pretty slow on the printer. Total print time was about 4 days and 8 hours. I know now that I could definitely cut the print time in half. I have also printed a G17 frame and have all the frame parts installed. I’m just waiting on a good deal for a...
Here is my recently completed and test fired Freeman’s G19. I printed it with Esun PLA+ on an Ender3. I have put roughly 300 rounds through it with zero malfunctions. I used the Wojtek Weaponry rails, Glock factory lower and upper parts kit, Swenson Slide, Combat Armory barrel.
I'm not a hunter of anything besides paper targets and occasional electronic devises in the woods. I am thinking about a CZ 75 sp-01 tactical in .40S&W
I am trying to figure out what firearms to buy next. I have most of my bases covered. I have: GP100, 629 classic, P227, SP2022, 23, 35, 24, 29SF, SR22, M&P 9 Shield, AK-47, 2 AR-15's, 870, NEF in 357mag, Mosin Nagant, 10/22. I might be leaving something out, but I am not sure. I am trying to...
I am a pretty big fan of the Sig 226. My dad bought one back in the 90's and put somewhere around 50-60k rounds through it. The gun is a little loose now but still gets the job done. I do believe a 226 or 229 is in my near future.
Right under the grips is where it always cracks, just saying. Oh, and people who hate on Miatas either have never driven one or enjoy the company of a double headed dildo...
While working in a gun shop i have seen too many S&W revolvers with cracked frames, yet to see a Ruger with a cracked frame. Oh and dealing with S&W about their ****ed up revolvers is a nightmare to say the least.
