I run both the 6.5 Grendel and 308. Between the two I like 6.5 better in regards to accuracy and quick follow-up shots.. But I'd have to say since most of my shot opportunities are under 100yds I usually hunt with the ol' 45-70
Because it was a gimmick in the first place that's marginally Iess potent than the 7.62x39 at at least 3 times the cost.. Or maybe it's because it's blown away by just about everything else you can feed an AR except 22..seriously the ONLY reason to consider 300 Bo is if you intend to shoot...
It will get better. .but man of man are those new mags tight. I have never in my life felt I needed a mag loader for any weapon,.. Until I got a 365.
That being said I really like it.
Yes ! Good job dad! You beat me out by a year. Started my son shooting 22 occasionally since he was 5 and have never regretted it. He shot his first AK at 7 . He is now 12 in June and this weekend he was making headshots with my Ruger Blackhawk in 45LC all day.
Gotta love it!
I really wanted to go a similar route. Honestly you already probably know the right answer. . I don't want to be that guy , but you should save your money if what you are really looking for is a weapon optic.
That's the advice I got , and while I really didn't want to wait I'm glad I did.
Not really a mod but..
a few years ago I got a crazy deal on a Noveske N4, great rifle, but I eventually sold it. . a couple of months later John Noveske passed away. . Still regret selling it
