    I've got a Remington R1 Enhanced that I love. It's got 500 rounds through it and I haven't had a problem with it. My neighbor has an xds 45 and shot it and was surprised with how much smoother it was and was saying he'd love to get one. I'd definitely reccomend it.

    I got a 35 about a month ago, found Hornady leverevolution for 36 a box after tax. Shot it and my 30-30 side by side and didn't notice too much except a little louder and a little bigger hole in the target, but I guess I'll find out once deer season comes around!     Save yourself the time and just put a Timney in it if you can, I waited 2 months on a rebate for my 700, so I for sure wasn't going to wait that long on my rifle.

    My first gun was a 243, my girlfriend has a savage axis in 243. It's a really good gun, and I'd imagine he'd be okay with the recoil, it has a pretty soft recoil pad.
