That is where I got my first 1894 in 44 mag, for a whopping $94. My brother got the 3030 for $89, which he still has today. That was in 1976, Kmart in Perrine/Cutler Ridge area of FLA.
Tough question. I like the idea of a AR but a lever gun in 44mag or .357 mag is tempting as well. The versatility of being able to use shot shells is good, And .38spl for small game and .357 for larger game or predators.
I have to go with the lever gun in .357mag.
