The explanations in this thread from you gentlemen (?) who do transfers should be pinned somewhere here on ODT. Then, the next clown that comes in complaining because no one does free transfers anymore, you can tell them to come here and read this info.
I had two guns I purchased transferred...
Road trip!!!!
Nine hour round trip and you have your gun back in your possession without risk or worry. Or maybe, your friend would meet you somewhere in the middle.
Can you not get the 17 round mags here in the U.S.? Doesn’t make sense that you can’t since there are no mag restrictions here in Georgia and most states.
Go to Wilson Combat and take a look at their upgraded Baretta 92. It has been reworked internally and has a few visible upgrades also. I have one and the trigger is fantastic and is a lot of fun on the range. Too heavy for an EDC gun but loads of range fun.
My wife says, as long as I don’t get into old cars or drugs, guns are okay. At least they don’t clutter up the yard or driveway. Kept me from buying that cannon. :(
Too many guns?? Do we need that kind of negative talk on ODT?!
If you sit back and wait a bit, PSA will put either an upper/lower combo or complete lower on special or blem priced. Grab them and build another rifle. I have bought a few "blem" items from PSA and cannot even tell what/where the blemish is.
- Authentic, battle used M 1 Carbine (they have done got priced well out of my price range)
- MP-5 ( if money were no object / lotto gun)
- Colt western style revolver in 45
- My dad/grandfather's 32 S&W revolver (If I could just identify the piece of crap that swiped it while we were...
I always check state statues before I travel. Wife and I like going to DC but I do not spend my vacation money in New York, NJ, or those other ****hole states with bad laws on carrying or possessing weapons.
I carry my Glock 26 and 2 extra mags (all have + extensions on them). I try not to vacation where I am going to need more than that. Wife always carries her Shield and one mag.
We like to go to Washington DC and visit the city and monuments. As much as I hate it, the most I take if I know I...
Since you said “no” to 1911 (Dan Wesson or Colt), if it were me, I would be going to a mid-size Glock. Dependability and local service would definitely be an influence on my decision. As would ability to sell/trade when you see the light and decide to get a 1911. 😃
I’ll just keep carrying my G 26. I carry it with just about anything I wear. Sometimes, if I am going to be working, I will switch to G 19 and carry on my belt. But, most times, I just tuck my G 26 into the IWB holster and carry on with my day.
