    That is exactly what I would like and then I'm going to add flip ups, red dot, bipod, and either a laser/light or light. Just something to work on and plink at the range. Thanks for the input.

    A friend is moving to California and has a couple of guns he is taking with him. I think one is a 1911 45 cal with mag holding 8 or 9. The other is a HD shotgun 12 gauge. Does anyone know if those would be legal there and does he have to register them in any way? Any info would be helpful...
