I really want to like the LCP MAX, it carries well, 14 ounces loaded in my front pocket. But, I shoot it horribly, I shoot a Glock 42 and 43 well, an Sig 365 well, etc, but the LCP is spray and pray. Suggest borrow or rent before purchase, I may keep mine as a back, back, back up.
It's not exciting, but a Tikka T3x SuperLite (Sportsmans special) would fill the bill for less than $850 and leave you budget for optics and mounts. I had one that shot quarter size groups (7mm08) and regret selling it.

another vote for the sig 365 in a kydex Alabama pocket holster, I put the Wilson Combat grip module on and shoot it as well as I do my Glock 19. Sold the Glock 43.
To me it is length of pull, the 725 is 14.25 inches and the SP is 14.75 - seems its hard for me to get the Beretta up quickly. The 725 is a much better gun (to me) than prior citoris.
i would say Bergara - find one manufactured in 2022 as they are going to be cerakoted. The B14s are known for surface rust. You may also want to check out the Wilderness series - not as pricey as the premier line, but some great features. Sportsman's warehouse usually has a good selection of...
Yes sir, Proof Research Elevation, just got it last week and mounted the glass today. Sportsman's carries them.

I believer the current gen Glock is SF - I have one and love it. It shoots the Underwood extreme ammo well and is very easy to control. Carried it in Wyoming last year via a chest holster.
I know its not what you asked, but rent a 43X before you buy anything. I have shot handguns for 30+ years and this is a natural shooter and can front pocket carry in khakis. I went to buy a 365, but honestly it felt too small to me.
