I got this today as part of my Etrade alerts. I thought it was interesting. What I took from what they said... and didn't say was this: We are not months, but years away from returning to 2019 pricing and availability if at all...
Why need a reason? Just get one if for no other reason is that Academy still has some 6.5 Grendal ammo in stock.
Supposedly 308 power out with 223 recoil and platform. Now real world, recoil for me was more than a 223, but still easily manageable. Mine seems to like the hornady bullets alot...
Remember when Walmart sold handguns and Pistol ammo? How many Walmarts got looted and they took the guns and left the TVs? I can't remember any either. I also don't remember the TVs being locked in the store room. Lately, they have been all in the isles as part of displays so you don't even have...
And I'll add another can of gas on the fire. The triple 4 is the most underrated big bore cartridge to come out since WW2. The triple 4 was Marlins answer to the lack of a true 45 70 full power levergun. After Marlin developed the 444 gun makers beefed up actions and ammo manufactures started...
Rossi? The one with an extra safety on TOP of the receiver? The safety that moves from one side to the other along the horizonal plane (and not even forward and back like on a shotgun)? You mean the Brazilian Hipoint of lever guns?
Surely by "I've had both" you mean the Western auto and the...
Ok... Ill bite.
Henry's are nice rifles. If you like (or don't mind) tube fed rifles. Customer service is great from what I hear as I never had to use it. Buy one and you'll probably like it ALOT.
Winchesters are the classic and the main down side is the top eject. No conventional scope set up...
Agreed, but the screw driver can get the job done, costs less, and does not need batteries :).
It all boils down to trade offs. Take the 6.5 Grendal. Its a great cartridge and I own several. It is optimized for 20 inch barrels. And still works down to 16 inch barrels quite well. I would not...
Respectfully I disagree with the suggestion of a 223 (556) or that 300 blk has velocity issues.
First, 223 with a 55 gr bullet is marginal for a clean ethical kill IMO. Can it kill, certainly. But to insure a clean kill you need really good shot placement. 55 gr hunting bullets will fragment...
Dang... the timing. The day after my most recent boating accident. :)
Tim is normally on top of his stuff. I have no reason to suspect that he is wrong on this. However, until I see something more substantial on this topic I will withhold judgment on replacing those AR pistols lost.
Get a 10mm. This factory full power ammo out of my Glock 40 MOS chronos within 15 fps of advertised velocity. 728 ft lbs will kill about anything that still walks in North America if you do your part.
When you also consider ammo capacity its hard to beat the full blown 10mm for defense or...
I'll share my thoughts.
First, I dont run these in my bump in the night guns. They may be fun to shoot, but if I have to use the rifle I want muscle memory and reliability of the weapon to be in my favor. Also, I dont want to have to explain to a jury why I used an evil black rifle with a...
I have the echo sport and the Echo 2. I actually like the sport better. I've run mine on 556, 300 blk, and 22 and they run like a scolded ape.
I did find that the more I shot them, the better they got. They aren't made to be match grade 3 lb triggers. They are fun to shoot and with current ammo...
From what I've read, most of these were sold commercially not long after the war. Many actually use GI parts. I like mine even if I don't care for sporter stocks.
We did a video for Red Hill Range and showed how many water jugs (plus a Corona) it would take to stop a 458 SOCOM round. We used a 350 gr FMJ. Vote your guess before watching the video and we will see how many folks get it right.
45s are subsonic in about every offering. Ammo prices are reasonable.
Platform I like is the Kriss Vector. Uses cheap Korean extended glock mags and matches up to my G21 carry gun. I can get Vector, 75 rds in 3 mags, and suppressor in a laptop case.
