  1. How is the milsurp market these days?

Absolutely, it's actually a good deal at $100 bucks or whatever I paid for it. If they don't do another printing it will go way up in value down the road. I'm currently in the M28 chapter and I've learned quite a bit.
  2. How is the milsurp market these days?

I picked up that book back around Christmas time and it's a great resource for Finn Mosin's, lots of details and great pictures explaining the various models.
  3. How is the milsurp market these days?

They never made complete rifles but they did make some barrels, I can't remember if they made any other small components.
  4. How is the milsurp market these days?

I bought one from liberty tree or maybe numrich? I took apart all of my lee enfield bolts earlier this month and my No5 was a real bear to get apart, great deal of torque was required but the tool performed as it should. I did file it a bit to get better fitment though.
  5. How is the milsurp market these days?

At least they don't have the pimp shined bolt the Mitchell's guns did. That was the cringest part of their job.
  6. Mil Surp Barrel band swivel ID

Looks Swiss to me, perhaps from a 1911 or 96/11, they have the side screw and are more circular than oval like.
  7. How is the milsurp market these days?

M91/30's tend to move at 300 add 100 for M44's and M38's bring a little more. Of course M91's bring more as well as Finnish models and Spanish civil war guns.
  8. How is the milsurp market these days?

I think inflation has a part to play as well with what milsurps are going for. Just wait till food prices skyrocket as this year drags on. The dollar is worth a bit less than what it was just a year ago.
  9. How is the milsurp market these days?

I've noticed that as well, pickins are real slim right now. Too many people with with disposable cash is my guess. Plus milsurps have been gaining in popularity for many years now.
  10. How is the milsurp market these days?

I've seen ridiculous prices here as well, I snag a deal when I can. I've learned to enjoy what I already have and I've been trying to rotate throgh and shoot my collection.
  11. How is the milsurp market these days?

Yep, Century ruined a lot of 36's and 49/56's converting them to 308
  12. How is the milsurp market these days?

That bullet weight is super light, the K43 was designed to shoot the standard Ss patrone 198 gr bullet. The biggest thing would be having an Apfeltor (sp?) Shooters kit installed.
  13. How is the milsurp market these days?

    Looks buffed and reblued
  14. How is the milsurp market these days?

The only other place I can think of that I shop at would be Numrich, they tend to have a lot of obscure parts.
  15. How is the milsurp market these days?

Check Liberty Tree Collectors, last time I checked they had M95 stocks and parts
  16. How is the milsurp market these days?

Problem is Prvi Partizan makes many of the hard to find brass casings (8mm Lebel, 6.5 Carcano, 7.5 French, etc...) if that goes away, we are screwed. I don't see any American manufacturers wiling to pick up obscure military cartridges.
  17. How is the milsurp market these days?

I haven't changed my shooting habits at all, I'm still shooting ammo I bought 20 years ago back when surplus was truly cheap. I've got more 54R, 8x57, 30-06 and 303 than I will be able to run through my bolt guns for a very long time.
  18. How is the milsurp market these days?

Not too many deals to be found right now. I picked up a bunch of rifles earlier this year but pickin's are kind of slim right now, even with surplus stuff.
  19. How is the milsurp market these days?

What? You don't want a bubba'd RARE!!! Swedish Mauser? Prices on milsurps are getting a bit crazy on here. SKS prices have really gone up. I picked up a few last year for $400 and now most people seem to be asking $550 to $600.
  20. M91/24 Carcano's at Bud's Gun Shop

I'm sure they are the Ethiopian ones, I can't imagine any other Carcanos have been imported from elsewhere recently. They are even listed as fair to good on Bud's website. From everything I have seen on the Ethiopian stuff, I would pass, they are rough. Some folks have had luck on the M1...
