  1. Post election AR prices...

Truth. When I first saw them, my first thought was how would you butt stroke someone with them? We learned in boot camp how to end someone with a rifle butt. I can't imagine a poly lower holding up to a real fight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. what is a simple bill of sale?

For me, a BOS is the same as a simple BOS. A red flag. But if I really want something the seller has, I'll make an offer and specify that we won't be retaining any information and that I won't be signing anything. If they decline, I'll move on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. For sale $XXX OBO, no lowballers!

I get offers that I think are too low for things. That's just part of it. I decline them and move on. It's not like it's difficult. It takes all of a couple seconds to politely decline an offer. If I make an offer, I expect a counter offer.
  4. For sale $XXX OBO, no lowballers!

Maybe it's me, but I thought everything on here was negotiable. I thought that was the point of buying, selling, and trading, to try to get a good deal. If I want to just pay sticker price I can go to a retail store for that.
  5. Taxes

CSX. If I remember right, aren't you a WA engineer? It seems like I had this conversation with someone out there. But I could be wrong.
  6. Taxes

I'm a train dispatcher. I do the same thing as air traffic controllers, but trains instead of planes.
  7. Taxes

The waste is the part that makes me sick. I could justify if it was actually being used to help people that honestly needed it.
  8. Taxes

I don't think I am, I seem to be broke all the time. But I do eat well. As far as the job, most people don't want to work the hours I do. And of the hundreds of people that have come to watch me work, not a single one said they would want my job after a couple hours. It'll make your head spin. lol
  9. Taxes

The worst part is that they took just over $25k out of my check this year. And that's just the feds. The state got another $6500.
  10. Taxes

I would be getting back almost $7k if I hadn't royally screwed up in 2013 and got audited. Luckily that'll pay off most of what I owe so I can get a refund next year.
  11. For sale $XXX OBO, no lowballers!

I actually understand that one. I may want cash, but you may only have trade offers. If I'm willing to trade it'll be for something I can turn into cash easier than what I already have. Or I may have something that is technically worth more money, but I just want your cheaper item more, so I...
  12. For sale $XXX OBO, no lowballers!

Offers don't bother me a bit. It's just an email alert on my phone. It's not like it cost me anything. I don't let the little things get to me. But what offers do help with is feeling out what the market price of my item is. If I get several offers in the same ballpark, it tells me if I'm asking...
  13. tax number

You're contradicting yourself. And you're clearly worked up over this. You wouldn't have created this thread if you weren't. Either that, or you're just a big fan of more government intervention and think people should have a permit and pay taxes on a hobby. I hope that's not it.
  14. tax number

Asking price and selling price aren't the same thing. Don't let people's asking price get you worked up. If they're asking too much, the item won't sell. It really is that simple.
  15. Yeti Flippin

Little small sips is all you can do with this cup.
  16. Yeti Flippin

If I fill mine up with coffee, it normally takes just over 3 hours to drink it.
  17. Yeti Flippin

I've seen people flipping them on FB. And of course people accusing them of being bad people and price gouging. I think this whole thing is hilarious. And for the people thinking a cup is a cup, I was one of you until I got a yeti. You don't know what you're missing.
  18. When you see something over priced...

Just as good as the overpriced sales, are the lowball offers. I get it that asking for a better deal is normal. But taking an item that's already priced fairly, and putting your own lowest possible price on it, then offering 75% of that is just crazy. Especially if you're then going to get upset...
  19. Seriously; What is a low-ball?

One of the things I have seen is the lack of a counter offer. If someone offers $100 less than you really wanted, but you have a little wiggle room for a quick sale, why not make a counter offer. I've done that many times. Maybe take a little less than your premium price for the buyer to do all...
  20. Seriously; What is a low-ball?

As far as I'm concerned, there is no such thing as a "low-ball" offer. The seller is welcome to decline or accept any offer, therefore they're all valid. If I'm buying, I offer what I'm willing to pay. If I'm selling, I accept what I'm willing to take. There's no reason for anyone to take...
