  1. It's a shame...

Bill of sales don’t bug me so long as they reciprocate and the information is reasonable. I’m not giving my date of birth, home address, social, or any garbage like that. Last bill of sale I was asked for I simply provided my business card to the guy and when he saw I was LE, he waived the...
  2. Just what in the heck.....

Truthfully, or at least in my opinion, custom is always a risk. You may put $600 worth of custom parts on a gun and it may worth that add on to you. But unless my tastes are like yours, I may not be inclined to value the gun the same as you. Often I buy a gun and set it up for me. I...
  3. Traders are becoming low grade

I have had great experience once a location has been decided. I did have one person back out of a deal, but he let me know up front it was a contingency on his gun selling. The day of the deal his first trade didn't go as planned and he ended up short on funds. He alerted me before I left for...
  4. Low balling

I personally would rather people offer. Worst I will say is no thank you. I realize others may disagree. As a general rule though, I don't offer unless I can at least reach 75 percent of the value they seek. There have been very few exceptions to this.
  5. How is this still here?

I too used to suffer like you. but then I realized that I was a gun "accumulator". Now I try to be a collector and buy with purpose. I still have my slip ups periodically, but they are down to once a week now.
  6. Who else considers...

The original box to me is a bonus. I have a lot of mine, but there are others I don't. I definitely am more excited about a trade if they have the box, but its not exactly a deal breaker.
  7. A failed attempt to have a rational discussion of gun values

they are not "worth less". They are the same guns you can go buy anywhere else, with the exception they used to come with one additional magazine over the standard ones. All of my blue labels came with three mags, the one gun i paid full price for came with only two mags. Blue label denotes...
  8. A failed attempt to have a rational discussion of gun values

I like the idea, but everyone has a different value system, different needs at any given time, and different resources. You can join the Glock shooting sports foundation and get a Glock per year at LE price. Selling a used Glock to one of those guys or a cop for $400 probably wont happen...
  9. Still new here and a bit confused.

Oh please don't break the news, just save your breath. We all have tried at some point and it just causes hurt feelings and anger. There are snow flakes around here that can't handle the truth. Its like Glocks, they will buy a drop in barrel no better than the original, destroy the grip with a...
  10. "It's a blue label"

I got first right of refusal on the colts!
  11. My balls have never been so

    That escalated quickly...
  12. Closed

    .....humor-dont hate me.
  13. Traitors

Technically, Bill was impeached. He just wasn't prosecuted. Impeachment is the starts with a trial within the House does not mean you are removed from office. The removal from office only occurs if the senate moves to proceed with charges after the house publishes its findings. In Bills...
  14. What constitutes a "low ball offer"

Yeah, didn't hear the sarcasm at first read, you got my attention. No problem though, none at all. :faint:
  15. What constitutes a "low ball offer"

I have not sold a blue line gun here. No doubt some have. I guess my point was fair for one may not be for others because certain companies discount to public servants, be them military or first responder. If I make an offer on a Glock or like product, it may be considered lowball but I won't...
  16. What constitutes a "low ball offer"

I have not sold anything on here I got at blue line price. Further, no item I have sold on here did I receive a discount on. I did list a Glock 34 at one point and an ODT member that knew me advised me to reconsider that one for the reasons you described. It was legally traded to gin shop in...
  17. What constitutes a "low ball offer"

I have had a few people get upset at a low offer I have made. What many do not understand is that military and most first responders (police fire ems) get discounts from major manufacturers (Glock, springfield, Silencer Co, Ruger, Vortex just to name a few). If I can buy a new Glock at Ed's at...
