One thing I've found is that I have to fire 15-20 rds of a particular brand before my rifles settle down with that brand/load. Makes it hard to do accuracy comparisons, but noticed the same thing with precision air rifles years ago...

I used to see camping trailers on the Riverbend property (near the Etowah River). Were those allowed for big Regional matches, or what?

If anyone needs ammo, Midsouth has some SK available. It's not the version my rifle prefers, but SK (Lapua) is generally pretty good stuff...
Agree. When I still had young eyes and no money, I used to shoot some darn good groups with a 270 and an old 2-3/4x Redfield Wideview. With good handloads I could keep 5 shots inside 1/2". My old .222 Rem only had a 9x and I could regularly shoot 3/8" groups with it.
