  1. Rimfire benchrest match - edit April 25th.

One thing I've found is that I have to fire 15-20 rds of a particular brand before my rifles settle down with that brand/load. Makes it hard to do accuracy comparisons, but noticed the same thing with precision air rifles years ago... Sent from my SM-G781U1 using Tapatalk

I used to see camping trailers on the Riverbend property (near the Etowah River). Were those allowed for big Regional matches, or what? Sent from my SM-G781U1 using Tapatalk

If this lot doesn't shoot well in my rifle, I may be willing to part with a brick in a few weeks.
  5. Rimfire benchrest match - edit April 25th.

Looks like I'm out for this match. Wife has other plans for our anniversary weekend. <doooh!> If anyone needs ammo, Midsouth has some SK available. It's not the version my rifle prefers, but SK (Lapua) is generally pretty good stuff...

  7. Rimfire benchrest match - edit April 25th.

Agree. When I still had young eyes and no money, I used to shoot some darn good groups with a 270 and an old 2-3/4x Redfield Wideview. With good handloads I could keep 5 shots inside 1/2". My old .222 Rem only had a 9x and I could regularly shoot 3/8" groups with it. Sent from my SM-G781U1...
  8. Rimfire benchrest match - edit April 25th.

You only need a 24X scope if you don't have a spotting scope to call your shots. Sent from my SM-G781U1 using Tapatalk
