Beautiful Setzer! A couple years back I almost ended up with an early 2000’s Setzer in a bluish/purplish finish. It was gorgeous, and it sounded awesome, but I could not come to terms with the trade. It was a fair trade, but I decided to back out…looking back, I really wish I would have taken it…
Thanks! It sounds great. I’m going to do a couple of adjustments to the action, and change out the nut, but overall it is a very proper guitar. I’m a big fan of Gretsch. They are a bit finicky, but they are something special when they are dialed in.
My #1 Gretsch
Let’s revive.
I’m about to have some time with my Gretsch Corvette and Fender Hot Rod deluxe. Analog Alien pedal. This combo makes for a good rockabilly sound.
That’s a nice one! I had a D41 for a while and for who knows why, I sold it off for something else. I don’t think I’ve ever played a D45. I know it rings!
My son is still picking too. He comes and goes, but he has been putting in a lot of practice lately, so I decided he needed an upgrade. His new Taylor mini. I really enjoy playing it myself. This is a great little guitar!
I'm still playing. Who is still with us?
I picked up this 2006 SJ200 from Maple Street guitars on my birthday. Talk about a great guitar. I've played a lot of SJ200's, and this one is extra special. Like a Steinway piano.
I can already tell you he will love it. It really is a lot of fun.
The crazy thing is this amp can be used for live gigs or anything else. It can be plugged into any speaker with the right input, bluetooth, etc..Recording, quiet practice, whatever. It does it all, with a ton of options and the...
Boys, the new Fender Mustang micro is just awesome. They really thought this thing through. My best friend has one and let me play it through the headphones last week, and 20 minutes later I ordered one.
It can be played through headphones (obviously), or bluetooth, which is a great...
Really cool.
I found a nice Kustom head and cabinet in a small music store a couple of months ago, and they were already sold. I was pretty bummed. It was the perfect size, model, and condition. They were also very fair priced...Or they were until someone bought them. Lol
That's really cool. I love the D-18. IMO, it should be the standard all others are judged by...imo
It's a privilege to have competent luthiers around...
Not to rub it in (ha!), but the masterworks series from Alvarez come with bone nuts and saddles, straight from the factory..One piece necks...
Yep, you are exactly right. The D'Addarios lose their flavor faster than Elixirs. I still use them on certain bluegrass cannons because of their sound...Even when they are dull they sound blissful, only with slightly less volume. Lol...And again, I only use them with my hog guitars.
I had never...
