    I have a VX5HD with a 56mm objective and a 30mm tube. You can dang near hunt at night with it on open fields.

    I'm a 30mm tube guy now. The weight difference between 1" and 30mm is negligible now. I have several VX5HD Leupolds, and they've been spectacular. I've had Nightforce, and they're great but heavy IMO. I've gone through a few Zeiss as well, but I haven't been impressed with their last few...

    Leupold vx freedom

    The Leupold will shine in low light conditions. The freedom line is a great bang for the buck! If I remember correctly, they have the old VX3 glass. I have a few of them.
