    Go to MMS or wherever and check them both out in person. Sit on them. Talk to the sales goons. My vote is for DRZ for everything though lol. Im biased.

    You'll like either really but the 250 will leave you wanting more in no time. The WR being more up to date also has a 6th gear btw. DRZ has 5 and runs out of gear on the street faster but feels nice offroad. WR is also ~60 lbs lighter so more nimble offroad. Lots of things to consider.

    The DRZ carb'd 400 is arguably one of the most bulletproof motors on the planet. Hell it's been untouched since at least 2001 that I know of. If it'll kill you to walk into the garage and start it up every month then maybe just go FI. But I'd do that with anything anyway. Cars, bikes, FI or carb.

    Yeah it'll be a good starter bike but you'll get tired of it FAST. Also the DRZ400 is not a bike that speed is going to kill you on I promise lol. It is a low revving single cylinder. It'll barely do 90mph stock. Hell at my weight I haven't even touched 90.
