Unless you're a meth cook, armed robber, or illegal arms trafficker, I don't think you need to worry too much about facing that charge. A wild raccoon in a suit could successfully defend any good citizen on that charge.
I must have misinterpreted "after firing corrosive ammo and NOT cleaned with several days in between shooting them" somehow.

The inner surface of the barrel is absolutely damaged every time you do this. Not to the point that you can see it with a visual inspection, but if you saw it under a microscope, you'd stop.
They'll still operate if you shoot corrosive ammo through them and throw them in a ditch for 5 years...
If you're supposed to make money here, I sure have been doing it wrong. However, I'm happy with the collection that I've ended up with.
