Acworth lake in the 70s was fine fishing. You could camp, too. Proctor Creek was a fine crappy and catfish creek flowing in. It was 5-8 feet deep. Then came the golf course and geese. Water was nasty and you didnt want to eat anything in it. Proctor Creek silted so bad that my canoe wouldn`t go...
I never got a state check. Don`t want one. My opinion is... the state has the money, spend it. I would rather ir be spent on a WMA than a lot of the other crap they use it on. I would go for stopping the state gas tax until the 6.6 billion is used up.
The state had a 6.6 billion dollar surplus. I would rather see them buy Pine Log for the public rather than send out free checks or whatever. They have the funds. Use `em. Even if the WMA is over-priced. The Pine Log WMA has been good to me. Last season got me a deer, turkey, and doves. I will...
I learned many years ago to not fall in love with somebody else`s land. Also learned to not count on getting to use it more than the next season you have paid for, or have permission to use.
Since covid appeared, more people are fishing. I fish Allatoona twice a week. There are many more boats during the week than in past years. So, all the tackle is being bought up. I was told by a store owner that the big stores won`t order any more fishing stuff until next Jan. The wholesalers...

Anybody who doesn`t know the difference between 2 and 4 stroke engines, and how they work, should not give advice on this thread. Only way to "disconnect" the oil on a 4 stroke is to remove the oil pump or drain the oil out. Next start-up the engine life may be 3 minutes max.
This refers to water quality. Not trespassing or determining which waters are navigable. Navigable; ie, a river, you can travel through private property.
I recently upgraded to a center console. It came with a high dollar Hummingbird. Now, if I ever figure out how to use it. Paperwork that came with it is written for a rocket scientist. Also, once you get on plane, the depth freezes on 1.4 feet, no matter how I position the transducer. Any ideas?
I think I would feel better springing for a steel prop. I could see hitting a rock and ripping the skeg, and maybe the foot housing. I have hit a lot of stuff with a steel prop and suffered no damage.
