I have an AK that needs to be reblued. There was quite a bit of surface rust on the receiver and I've managed to clean it up with steel wool to the point
that it's cancer is gone and there is no actual pitting in the metal but lots of spots in the bluing that aren't pretty anymore.

He said that if the bolt is closed and he pulls the charging handle back the brass extracts and it loads a new round ..... The gas block and gas tube are what feed the gas into the upper that blows the bolt back into the buffer tube. If the gas block or gas tube are misaligned and it doesn't...
It sounds like the gas block or the gas tube aren't lined up right is all ..... an easy test is to take the upper off, take the bolt out, make sure the barrel is clean/clear and stick an empty case in the chamber and hold your finger by the gas tube ... blow into the top of the barrel and see if...
+1 on this
Go through your process decap and resize a case and see if it fits the chamber then don't put a primer or powder in but seat a bullet the way you normally would and see if it still fits the whole way in without having to push it.
I know this is stupid question but you didn't...
My guess is that the resizing die isn't going far enough down the case and the lower portion of the case is still too big so it won't fully chamber without being forced. Either way I am willing to bet dollars to donuts that it's just a case sizing issue .....
Does this happen with factory ammo...
The milspec tube will give you access to more readily available cool buttstocks ... at least where I live almost everything on the shop shelves is mil spec
It's not a bug it's a feature ;)
This gun was not designed to use modern hollowpoints ....... it was designed for 230gr ball ammo.
Having said that though I have good luck feeding Hornady Critical Defense or Zombie Max ammo (they're the same thing really) in these guns with zero failures...
The gun in the top picture and the gun on the bottom two are not the same gun and not even possesing similar parts..
The gun on the top has a bull barrel that is recess crowned .... it has no bushing at all.
In order to do this to the gun on the bottom you have to replace the bushing, guide...
Unless it's a tiny little ding honestly you're better off just spending the $50 to a decent gunsmith and having it done right ... my 0.02
If you have an outside cooking aparatus like a turkey fryer burner and don't mind playing with caustic chemicals you could do it outside your garage even ..
