My ar-10 did that too when I first got it finished. I put mine up for a couple of days with the bolt locked open and next time I took it out it ran fine. I figured that new buffer spring was too strong and needed to be whipped into shape.
I had a problem with my AR 10 not ejecting the spent round and trying to ram a loaded round in on top of it. I locked the bolt open with the spring compressed and left it in the safe for about 2 weeks. Took it out of the safe greased the bolt and oiled it up good and ..... Ta da....... No more...
Been there,done that. I drove it out from the frontside. Get some frog tape and cover the lower with a layer or 2 where the punch won't scrape it up and knock it out backwards. After my experience with a bent pin I now put screw in in my bolt catch pins in all my builds......
