Recessed crown, better for protection of the end of the barrel where the bullet exits, plus while re-cutting the crown you can make it perfectly uniform for better accuracy. The recess protects it afterward from nicks and bumps.
Looks pretty dang cool too!
I need this done also, but my shotty is no benelli haha. Think i might try to do it myself, but if someone chimes in you may get some more work from here.
I didnt, but I wasnt replacing an existing trigger, only installing a new one. Didnt have any trouble installing the pins in a fresh lower but I can see how it would make it easier to replace original pins with the KNS ones.
Good stuff man, thanks for the links! Im so on the fence right now its not even funny haha, build a dedicated .22 or build another AR upper that would be better for a .22 conversion? This is a toughy...
Im starting to think dedicated .22 now, just because I hate 10/22's and it would be fun to...
You make a really good point, it seems like everything I read online about .22 upper builds end with, "...eventually I got it to eat anything and its now a great shooter!"
A 1:12 barrel is a great suggestion man, thanks. Will keep my options open for sure.
Im really wanting a dedicated .22 upper, but also want to try my hand at building an upper finally, and since I promised myself the next gun I buy will be a .22.....
Has anyone ever built an upper using dedicated .22 parts?
Thinking about a 1:16 twist barrel, no gas system, .22 chamber...
Yeah its in the "tools and extras" section in the pic, with the allen wrenches and extra detent and spring. Its about twice the size of the selector detent for scale.
Thinking it might have been for lining up the trigger pin like jkaczyn18 said. Spikes didnt send me a set screw for the trigger...
Sorry, Winchester 1300. Few different tools out there that will work

Hey everyone, got a shotgun foreend nut that it refusing to come off, need to try a legit shotgun foreend wrench but dont want to spend 50 bucks on a tool I will use once haha. Anyone happen to have one I could use for a few minutes? Will drive anywhere in Atlanta!
Or, if anyone knows of a...
Also, the very first thing I would do is spend 30 minutes switching back to the collapsable stock setup and make sure it works again. If so, you at least know it is for sure the A2 stock setup causing the issue and not something else
Sounds about right ^ although wouldnt that keep the gun from cycling? To the OP, does it shoot and cycle OK or did you test the last round hold open by manually cycling the action? If you have multiple rounds in the mag and cycle the charging handle will it strip, load, lock, unlock, extract...
I dont know about threading a bull barrel, have only ever threaded a standard barrel personally but any time I use a die set I say a little prayer before hand and wear my lucky socks because it is a one shot deal really. You can always thread smaller, can never thread larger once you mess up :)...
What exactly is it doing (or not doing)? Just a standard FTF? Any dimple at all on the primer? I have a Taurus that doesnt like double action sometimes, light strikes if I run it after decocking. Shoots fine in SA mode.
