I have an ATI Omni lower that I used for a PSA Marauder pistol. And I have used the same lowers a few times before with no issues. However...I have only test fired them to check functions. I don't have the funds to torture test ANY gun for a thousand rounds.
If you intend to use it occasionally...
Guilty BCA buyer over here. Bought about 4 uppers all together all in 5.56. One of the pistol side charging uppers was out of spec in the chamber or something because it would stick solid halfway closed on a loaded round and have to be beaten open. Went back TWO times before they finally made it...
You beat me to the comment here. I love TFB TV. The Maverick 88 made it all the way through the non stop 500 round burn down. I am a Mossberg owner and I guess fan but I expected the bargain brand Maverick to have some type of failure. Glad it didn't. On the other hand I have a Hatsan Escort...
Eventually I need to get something in 20 gauge. I had the security model with 18" barrel and ugly pistol grip stock back when I first joined here. It was fine for the $100.00 I paid for it ( used) . But every time I fired it the foregrip would slam to the rear unless I was holding it really...
So it's a limited run kinda thing. I suppose they're gonna try to justify the high price that way. No thanks. If Hi Point made a "Limited Run" of nipple pink C9s for Breast Cancer Awareness I still wouldn't pay $500.00 For one. It's still a Hi Point. And at the end of the day this knife Magpul...
Hey now in all seriousness. . I have had the same wallet since about 08. It used to have "Bad Mother****er" on one side before it wore off. And it IS worn out. I was thinking of ordering the FDE Magpul wallet. However ...if they would have the balls to price a pocket knife at 5 bills then I...
Wow! To me that certainly meets the qualifications for insanity. Maybe there's enough room on the handle to laser etch Yeti on one side and Costa Del Mar on the other side.
I have no problem with quality and the old getting what you pay for theory but damn! I have bought running driving cars...
Okay for the record if this knife is $500.00 or even $250.00 then the folks at Magpul definitely need an intervention. That would be a pretty stupid offering in a knife market where there are already plenty of gun priced knives to go around.
I can see where the Tanto blade could be a pain to sharpen. And I can see where a fixed blade would be superior but I don't care to carry one on my belt.
Back when I owned a WASR in 2014 the wood looked like it used to be Romanian packing crates. It was on the rough side to say the least. And the stock measured 9" . So it had a food bit of check slap. I was low on funds but found a Crapco side folder that had a 12" LOP. So I went with that. Only...
If this knife retails for under $50.00 ( I wanted to say $40.00 But come on its a Magpul) then I think it's a winner. I like the shape and size of it when folded. Now if it's over $50.00 then just stick with a Kershaw from Walmart.
I guess I can understand how SOME guys feel the need to try to modernize the AK. Not my thing but whatever. But if you happen to own an AK that already has the black plastic furniture then the fixed AK stock really looks good to me. And I'm sure the length of pull is better.
I don't care for their AK hand guards or their side folder that kinda looks like a ski boot or a roller blade without the wheels. But I do like their fixed AK stock a good bit.
I agree that some things they sell are ridiculously priced. But some of their products are top notch. My last AR had their fixed carbine stock that gave it a clean minimalist look. I like the PMags too.
I wasn't always a Magpul fan. I used to see them the same as Tapco plastic ****. But it...
