    I have a 2005 Dodge Durango that needs a new engine, and I am not looking to spend up to $3000 to have it replaced. Would it be more cost effective to donate the truck and use it as a tax write off next year, or sell it to a salvage yard. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
