17 hp riding mower 12v battery suggestions.

Need a 12v battery for a Craftsman LT1500 w/ 17 hp Briggs. Never purchased one this small before and a little concerned they only have 3 month or 6 month warranties. So far the Tractor Supply Traveler brand made by Interstate looks good. Anyone have a better suggestion?

just use it some in the off season or keep on a battery maintainer and will last a lot longer

A 17hp doesn't need a 350 CCA battery. I use one of these on a Farmall cub. If you don't charge occasionally or use a battery maintainer any size battery will die.
