I was just coming here to see if anyone posted about this.
You know the DNR keeps putting these surveys out asking about input from hunters.
Every year I keep telling them that they need to quit letting people hunt over corn due to the inevitable spread of CWD from corn feeders/piles but I fear they are more interested in revenue from new “hunters” that Daddy taught how easy it is to shoot fish in a barrel, I mean deer over corn piles
as the best and easiest way to become a bonafide (hunter.)

So let’s see just how stupid the DNR is and how concerned they are about the spread.

To bait is to throw away money and time. In Georgia we have plenty of deer without the need for that

Hunting over bait is no different than hunting over a peanut field, greenfield, persimmon and oak trees. Deer have always grouped up around the best food sources. We've let the deer become overpopulated, the hunters and DNR are to blame.

I do what I can to control the population, but most hunters are buck hunting. CWD is nature's way of population control.
