Morning Gents,

So I received a Garand from the CMP with an uncut oprod (I kind of lucked out on parts with a uncut oprod that is correct for this Paired Receiver and Barrel date and a clean not correct EMcF Stock) My question is should I buy another OpRod for shooting it, or should I shoot this one. I know of the stories of cracked oprods without the relief cut, but it is without a doubt that this one has been used. I have no experience with this uncut oprods. Please share your experiences!

I would sail it on the CMP boards and grab a vanilla op rod. Maybe a 65-SA with a fresh re park and shoot the crap out of it... I like to shoot my toys..

I have one on my pre-war CMP rifle.

Plan on keeping it that way. I don't think I shoot it enough to worry about it.
That is kind of my stance. I've had it for a few months now and I only took it to the range to sight it in. I don't wish to sell the oprod because I am the kind of person that likes to "leave it alone" especially if its from the cmp.
