S# 5065NF, .45 colt, 5 1/2 inch barrel, excellent bore. This 1965 MFG revolver features the 2 3/8 inch barrel address, round rear sight cutout and hard rubber grips. This is one of 79 45 colts with 5 1/2 inch barrels produced in 1965, overall 517 revolvers in this configuration were produced. This piece is in excellent condition retaining 97% blue and vibrant case colors. barrel shows very light muzzle wear with scattered light scratches and an importers mark on bottom. Frame shows a small area of discoloration on left side above trigger. Triggerguard and backstrap show signs of light use. The hard rubber grips fit well, right grip is numbered twice with serial number, left grip is unmarked . Hammer shows light stains on both sides. A very fine new frontier in the best caliber. A super gun to display or shoot. A scarcer variation.
