I watched this video and thought it was interesting. Following military service, Swiss citizens keep their rifles for, I believe, 10 years. Annually, they are required to show up to a range and qualify by firing 20 rounds at 300 meters off a bench. If they don't keep up with their quals, they get nastygrams in the mail and fines. The ammo is provided by the range and the whole thing is subsidized by the government. The results are recorded and then reported back to the military/government. Interesting to see a different way of doing things.
