re: the hammer eating your side while in carry 1....
you mean the hammer serrations? Mine felt
uncomfortable on thumb while cauking hammer.
Used flat file across serrations to solve that.
Still enough there to grasp but doesn't hurt.
Also painted serrated area black so after
sanding the high ridges only thing still black
are the recessed slots between serrations.
Very minor detail but it was either do that
or do yardwork.
