Any thoughts on the Springfield Champion Operator LW?

Hi all,

I have finally settled on a new gun (which I bought off of gun broker and should be arriving tomorrow).

Its a Springfield Champion Operator Light weight. Seems like an awesome gun. Has anyone had any experience with this gun? If so, can you share that. Thanks! Stock image below...

It's a nice gun but unless you need a rail the fit/finish on the ruger commander lightweight is quite a bit better.

Always liked that 1911, with its combination of features. Typical excellent SAI quality.

What's also nice is that it has a fully ramped barrel. I don't care for one in a steel-framed 1911, but it's very nice in an aluminum-framed 1911 so that you don't have an aluminum feed ramp.

Very cool. Yea the finish is important, but the realiability and functionally of the gun is just as important to me. I don't have time to baby a 1911 so it wil be good to go. I almost bought the Ruger SR1911 commander before this one but had a last minute change of heart. I'll probably try to get that one next.
