Anyone use pet health insurance?

I've used the one from Banfield (PetSmart) for over a decade. If you take your dog to the vet on a regular basis to keep him/her healthy it really does save you money. From shots, yearly dental cleaning, trifexis, etc...without pet insurance I would be broke. But $45/month is easy on the pocket and it makes the price you pay at the vet after a visit fairly cheap.

I think I had something similar from banfield - petsmart.

Except I think mine was a one time fee and called a “puppy protection plan” or something like that.

But it covered all the shots and getting spayed or fixed and a discount on services.

I can’t remember the exact price but it was a lot cheaper than paying regular vet bills.

And it worked at all banfield (pet smart) so if you were traveling or moved you still had coverage.

45 bucks a month I don't know about that being a good deal that's 540.00 a year ....and here's why.....I have a dog that just turned 17 ..until very recently she a very low cost dog but at 17 × 540=9,480..there is no way I will spend that much on her up until now Other Rabies shots and other vaccinations and throw in getting her fixed I'm at 500 bucks....I've had two 16 year old dogs and they cost me a few more buck in the 1,500 dollar Range before their sad ends.. I've had other dogs who didn't make that many years but there over life time cost was low as well.....I don't mean to sound cold hearted but I do have a cash limit.. I will spend on a dog and it age plays into and how much I like the animal as well......don't go for broke on a old dog or cat no matter how much you love them..you can pay a lot but in the end a old dead dog is less valuable then money in the bank ...and just like home Appliance insurance.... any kind of manufactures Extendedwarranty you have to pay for ..there bad deals they take your money and makes it theirs ...after all thier for Profit business...look at yearly cost and 10 year Average lifespan make up your mind if it right for you
