Ar for hunting.

Ok guys Im wanting to get an ar in .308 to have as my hunting rifle to replace my bolt .308. What is a good lite set up that would be a good rifle for hunting, mostly deer hunting. Anyone else use one in the woods?

Who hunts with an AR? Don't you know AR's are only used to assault people.

I have an AR in 300 blackout just for this purpose.

Why's it have to be 308? I would look into 300 blackout. It's much lighter than an AR10

.300 Blackout, hands down is the way to go

I would look into the 6.8. Better ballistics than 300 blackout with 80% of the energy of a 308 all in the AR15 platform.

I have a Remington R-25 in 308, its heavy but I don't mind and I love it.

.300 blackout is what I use.

I use a 300 blackout for hunting up to 200 yards, but if you want a 308 don't go with an AR platform, go get a FAL, most accurate 308 semi system I have ever owned was a DSA Fal. I would use it hands down over an AR10 any day
