Ballistic Advantage Hanson SPR barrels on sale 130 bucks.

I was looking and thinking of buying a 16 inch Hanson profile, stainless and nitrided ( Black Series ) SPR barrel. They are decent barrels and although it's a hit or miss on really good accuracy ( meaning sub MOA ) it's still worth the $130.00 price tag. They used to be 325 bucks. I have one now that's decent but worth the swap if I can get lucky and a good one or not. Anyway you look at it that's still a great price for a stainless barrel. Don't get me wrong they do live up to the 1 MOA guarantee but sometimes, just sometimes you get that super barrel from them that shoots lights out. I think I am going to get one and swap it out just for kicks and giggles. 130 is a great deal for a decent hunting barrel..

I just wonder if that's an indicator of how AR platform gun purchases or builds are in the decline. This may be wishful thinking but if it is then I am lying in wait for Noveske or BCM or other premium brand will reduce their prices as well. My head may be in the clouds but I can't help but think of it. 🤞🤞🤞

You're absolutely right but it is fun to dream. With all these trade embargos you would think that prices would be on a slight incline for smaller less critical parts that me be imported at present. Although it's highly doubtful that either of them skimp in quality like that. That would make one think the ultra lower tier manufactures would take a hit with parts they import. Hell! I don't know I am just tossing things around in my head. I could be just jumping to conclusions but the sudden drop in prices on those BA barrels does get the old grey matter working though. I would like a peek into the future though and just see where it's going. I always though that this drastic incline in firearm acquisitions would drop off at some point but who really knows.

I had a 308 barrel that would put the first three shots though the same hole and the next overlapping that one. Great barrel. I have a stainless Hanson in .223 Wylde and it didn't do so good the last time it went out. However, to give it the benefit of the doubt I did only use one kind of ammo. It was right at 1 MOA at 100 and could be better with a change in ammo. I don't really shoot that one much so to be fair I have to say I can't give a A+ rating so far. Who knows it could be a tac driver whit the right ammo. That rifle just has irons in it now so it needs a good optic but I am wrapped up in this 6.5 PRC at the moment. I will revisit that one at a later date and make a determination then. I would like to take advantage of that sale though. It would come in handy at some point.

69 Grain 5.56 OTM is what I was shooting. 4-4.5 inches at 600 at CMP Talladega.

I just looked again and they are already sold out since I got the add. However they do have a couple options for 149 I believe. It didn't say out of stock in that one. Man those went quick. I just got the email yesterday.
