Yes, get your own eft finger print file, lots of places offering this and you actually own and hold your own prints. And find a dealer who isn't sucked into the silencershop monopoly and can submit your stuff immediately.
Big Woods Goods in Canton uses a system called Cerberus. Takes pictures and fingerprints at the kiosk and auto-fills info (Cerberus overlays the ATF form you complete).
I agree, too, that you can simply get ETF file for fingerprints done and a passport photo for a picture (electronically) works.
Yep. Had my prints done and have the EFT for future use. Photo you can do yourself… just like a passport.

I did my Form 1 on a trust myself through the E-Forms site. Got my prints scanned at a UPS store for $45 and uploaded it all myself. 3 business days later I am approved.

I’ve been going through Captiol Armory out of Texas. They have dealer connection in each state (that allows NFA). I simply have my EFT fingerprints and digital passport phone on my dashboard/file with them and the entire process to purchase can be done at home on the computer, five minute phone call, and delivered to your doorstep. Shortest timeframe was 10 working days from order to delivery.
You do need your eFiles userID and PIN.
Purchase can be done from a variety of stores (including them) with connections to Capitol Armory (Palmetto State Armory, Griffin Armament, both I’ve used). You fill out your eFile form 4 they send to you, then they email you after they review (less than 24 hours) to call and within 5 minutes they do the eFile over the phone for you (you need to sign the submitted Form 4). All my ATF approvals have been within 48 hours. After you get your stamp, Capitol Armory sends you a Form 4473 and asks for your CLEO info. They make the contact after you fill out the 4473 digital form and the 7-day waiting process starts (that’s for individual, not sure about a Trust), which is just the notification and intent to make an NFA sale.
That’s it and it’s worth the trouble to get your EFT and a digital passport photo. You can do your own, or there are online places that will clean up your photo and approve it as an official passport photo (I paid like $15).
