Me, my son, and the preachers son went striper fishing in the upper lower savannah coosawah hoochee in southern middle north ga in alabama on guntersville yesterday and KILLED the biguns!!! We caught them all on orange redfins on the bottom with live cut bait on pink bucktails with circle size 18 treble hooks on corks...
This one was right at 35...
I laid into this monster when we first got there.. Its a smallmouth striper... It was near 40...
I run a guide service full time so if anybody wants to get on the biguns like that its 800 and hr... free for kids under 60 years... You will have to sign a waiver though that you are willing to lie about what you really caught....

Fishin was pretty terrible.. the 2 goofies with me did have a stripe about 12 lbs coming completely out of the water after their topwater bait and they both took it away from her.. When I turned around all I could see was this 12lbr flying out of the water so close to the boat it wet us.. It was funny they both have never been striper fishing so they both turned sheet white and their eyes were like saucers... It was worth the trip to see their faces on that one...
