Bunnies an Chipmunks

When we moved into our home 8 years ago,we would have to watch for bunnies driving out the driveway-npowadays we only see a few every two weeks or so.Is it just mankinds deforestation?Or could it be the chipmunks?a friend told me chipmunks'll eat meat and I have had an influx of lots of chipmunks?Advice pls,I'd really like the bunnies back....

They co-exist quite well around my place....I've prob got a hundred chipmunks..at least it seems so and 5-6 bunnies that live in the bushes at the edge of my yard and all also venture closer to the house around the pool and snack in my vegetable garden..
