Henry said he was openly carrying a gun when he went down to book the convention back in February and told the sales team his 400 members would be doing the same for their August event.

Henry said he was told there would be no problem.

But a problem arose this week when Callaway Gardens told him though his members are welcome, their weapons are not

"If they would have told us when we walked in the doors guns weren't allowed, we would have said fine, turned around, drove back, and we'd look somewhere else. We wouldn't have wasted the last three or four months," Henry told Channel 2's Lori Geary.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....sure seems like concealed carry might solve some problems here

"Unfortunately, two team members did not properly convey our weapons policy, which, like many other family friendly destinations, does not permit weapons on the premises."

Doesn't sound like we are welcome concealed or not.

Didn't they ban loud bikes some years ago?

No type of motorcycle is allowed inside the Gardens period, you will be asked to park it at the gate, no exceptions- They have a total weapons ban throughout the entire property, even for the employees- I worked at Callaway for about 14 years, always had my carry weapon in my truck every day I worked there, which was located in MY property..............

Ban away. I don't care. I never carry open anyway. Nothing wrong with those that do (got my full of open carry in LE) I just prefer to fly under the radar.
