Can anyone identify what this gun may be ?

Left to me in my dad collection . Looks like a mouser of some kind . But I have never seen one with a flush mount birdseye maple stick like this . And have not had any luck disassembling to look for more markings ? Any ideas

There aren’t any markings on the top of the receiver or barrel?

I was reading that Herters sold a lot of Mausers back in the day, some sporterized and some on Zastava actions. I’d probably take the stock off and look for markings.

I recently purchased a collection of rifles and this rifle I am not familiar with. Made in Yugoslavia, also says Saint Hubert Co. and on the butt pad it say Waseca, Herters, Minn. I have searched the net and come up with a lot of info. but still am not sure. I don't believe this rifle has ever...
