Can I Still Purchase Here?

As I understand it, a resident of a State may purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun) from a resident of a contiguous State, but handguns must go thru an FFL.
I think all private sales must go through an FFL transfer. You can purchase a long gun from a shop/FFL in a border state directly. I have purchased rifles at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Columbia.

Long guns cannot be sold privately between residents of different states.
However for long guns the law is more flexible about how to use an FFL : only one FFL dealer is needed, and it could be in either state, (absent some contradictory state laws that add things above and beyond the federal law.)

For a handgunthe FFL that does the transfer has to be in the same state as the buyer / purchaser / transferee.

I did run across a website in SC (just Google guns south Carolina) but it's pretty lame. Their firearms section had a whopping 37 items up for sale. Doesn't hold a candle to ODT in GA, although it beats the SC section of our classifieds.

Maybe if enough SC folks started using ODT it would start to be useful there.

Might be a branding opportunity.

If you set your account up the site design has minor stylistic changes depending on the state you're registered in. Provide help (openly declared to NOT be 'legal advice') that helps inform cross-border traders.

Turn off the banjo music in the background, etc.
