Looking for Civil War era looking cannon for outdoor display at my home. Does not need to be in working order. Thiswill be a static display. Prefer under $1000. PM me here. Thanks!

That TV show where the whole family was into a gun biz...... They made one. Cut a gas cylinder and painted black and stuck a bowling ball in it. Build a wood cart I think.

What's that show?

Ive been looking for the same thing. They are hard to find. Im planning on building one myself kind of the same way he mentioned. I was going to use wagon wheels, 4X4 and 6X6 treated timbers, and a torch bottle. If I get it done I'll send you some pics and info.

When The Pottery was open in Commerce, they had a bunch of cast iron cannons for sale. We bought a little navel type from them to put next to the flag pole in our front yard. I've heard there is still a "Pottery" in that area, so maybe they still have a cast iron yard somewhere. There was another company selling kits online that had pvc barrels that you could fill with concrete for weight. They included plans to build the wooden parts in various styles and scales. Might be worth a Google search if you don't mind cutting some lumber.
