Anybody been out there before? Good ground? Looking at going to do some scouting there soon now that deer season is out. Potentially do a little squirrel/rabbit hunting in the next few weeks' late season. It looks like a huge tract of land that has a good variety of habitat, and it's close to Georgia Southern University where I go to school. I haven't been able to get outside hardly at all since I've been in college and it's driving me nuts. Thought this looked like an interesting spot to hunt.

We used to hunt Ft stewart every year between Christmas and new year cause they wasn’t hardly anyone around. We just went on base and you had to pay for the pass. If your hunting they are strict, make sure you follow the rules or you will het kicked out. Its pretty simple now though. You just check in the zone your hunting. Good hog hunting and I’ve shot some descent deer off there also.

What do you need to do to get a base pass?
To get an access pass to Fort Stewart, you need to fill out Form 2737 and have a background check. You can get a pass from the Visitor Control Center at Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield.

Steps to get a pass

  1. Fill out Form 2737 and include your Social Security Number
  2. Give the form to your supervisor to sign
  3. Have your supervisor submit the form to the Visitor Control Center or via AMDREC
  4. Wait 72 hours
  5. If you don't receive a call, you can go to the Visitor Control Center
  6. Bring your driver's license and visitor pass to show each time you go through the gate
I obviously pulled of net. Behave yourself on base. Id say contact.
