Dude, I'm still surprised that later model cars don't have yet another light like the third brake light that flashes and rotates when you don't buckle up. I e told everyone that there's definitely a cutoff point of how new of a vehicle I will buy or own from now on.

Been going on for about the past five years. Even if you cancel on star services continues to track. The only way to stop it is to unplug the module in the vehicle. Just fyi, if you buy a newer car with all the tech and like it, you may have to keep the su bscription for some things to work like the built in nav. Funny BMW became so bold that the heated seats stopped working when people cancelled their auto subscription. Enough people raised cain that BMW turned the seats back on without the subscription
I wish cars had a “CC” light on the back when on cruise control so the people I pass 7 times on my daily commute would know that they are the dumbasses.

You know you can turn it off right? I notice my truck resets every so often and back off it goes. You can also permanently deactivate it by disconnecting the antenna so it thinks it’s in the middle of nowhere.
