For those new to rifles , carbines , pistols , and SBR’s (Short Barreled Rifles) . 1)Overall length 2)Barrel Length 3) Use of stock for carbines/rifles or brace for pistols ; there’s other things to consider like pinned & welded muzzle devices to make your pistol length barrel a 16” + barrel to use a stock of your choice on. I’ve seen a few posts lately (mostly new members or so called) trying to sell SBR’s listed as “AR-15” and I’m sure most Folks on here know how to determine barrel length? If not Brownell’s.com offers a very easy and straightforward video. Please , “Ignorance is no exception to the law” …. that’s what you’ll be told for making an honest mistake. (Constitutional or not), we have NFA guidelines right now that the ATF will use to take your firearms and liberty. Before I got into firearms, I had no idea how many commie rulz we had against firearms that make absolutely no sense to a new gun owner, in my experiences. JUST A HEADS UP. Have a good one.

It is a fair point; there are a LOT of guys who don't know what they don't know. I used to work with a guy who had a bolt action 7mm magnum. SOMEHOW he got a cotton cleaning jag stuck in the barrel, and couldn't get it out. He compounded the problem by trying to pound it out from either end, really jamming it in there.

I offered him a VERY long .25" drill, and said: "GENTLY twirl this by hand and slowly, but surely, you can cut the jag out. NO DRILL! Be patient." That was on Friday.

On Monday he came to work and said he had given up on it, and just saw cut the barrel and "re-crowned" it with large drill bit. It'll be good enough for hunting in middle Georgia. Um, OK.

So I said: "How short is the barrel?"
"Oh, it is SHORT now!"
"Is it less than 16 inches? Because that would be illegal."
"Huh?"

Yea, if the thread helps one new member I’d be glad. Hate that for your friend. NOTE: I hate Everything NFA .

Most of what I've seen on here has been stocks on AR pistols. That's a very easy (too damn easy) BIG mistake to make. Then there's the vertical foregrips on mostly AR pistols but occasionally AKs.
When the Shockwave was new and everyone wanted one there were a couple of cut down Mossberg and Maverick 88 guns listed here with the Raptor grip installed. Big no no there. Just ask Randy Weaver.
But yeah there's way more gun law ignorant folks out there than I originally thought. Worse yet... some of them ( a lot of them actually) are cops.

I’ll be the 1st to say this.. anything than a regular ar15, I don’t any diffrence between the others.. guess I could get messed by someone …

I rely on these Folks to keep me up to date. Anyone can subscribe and they don’t blow my phone up every day wanting more $$$. The FPC has fought for our gun rights more than most know about , Good Folks.
