Charter arms .22lr AR5

This looks like a very cool little 22lr semi auto.
Barrel removable with threads like the Henry survivor AR 10
Removable magazine in front of trigger like the Henry.
Does the barrel and pistol break down and store?

How come I’ve never seen one of these before?
Looks like it needs a little flat black paint but this is the ultimate survivor pistol for back pack carry.
There is one for sale at a good price.
Should I buy it?

Definitely interesting. Called the Explorer. Extra mag stores in the grip. Some vendor called Checkpoint Charlie's has a new one listed for 399.00.

I remember those, if you're referring to the one listed for $125 I'd say you better jump on it before someone else does. Great pistol....no....great conversation piece ....oh yes.

I knew a guy that had one of those in the 80s, and it was a jamomatic.
I was that guy! Charter Arms Explorer II. Bought it new for around $100 right after Army AIT in 1982. It was picky about what ammo I used but if you kept it clean and lubed it ran okay. Mine had a grey/silver painted finish.
