CMP in Anniston, AL...anyone been there?

I'm looking at going to CMP in Anniston in a few weeks to purchase an M1 Garand and am looking to see if anyone else who has been there could give their thoughts as far as how their overall experience was, what to expect while I am there, etc. Any feedback I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Went to BOOT CAMP there at Ft. Mac many moons ago. Hated it! Have always wanted to go back ever since I found out that's where CMP is located. I will have me one of them there Garands, one of these days.

They had .22 by the pallet quite a while after the **** got crazy, but last I heard its about like Walmart on ammo now.

Current inventory on the shelves is the higher dollar rifles, the $950 and up ones (if those are what you're after, they had a pretty good selection of some real good looking rifles)...



I was there with my boys picking out an air rifle.
