You have to me a member to buy ammo there, right? Gotta join a CMP recognized local club before you can apply to be a CMP member?

Nope, ammo doesn't require affiliate club association.

$25 a year, join the Garand Collectors Ass'n. shoot in a match or one of the other requirements and you can buy rifles.

I stand corrected. Last time I bought Greek ball ammo I bought prior to my membership with GCA.

Update. Crap forgot I was LEO at that time. May have played a part. Getting old sucks.
