The data on this map appears to be measured by Facebook "likes" for college teams, so not exactly scientific. But I found it very interesting.

Double click on the area you are interested in to zoom in on that area. When you zoom in far enough you can place the mouse pointer over various counties to show fan percentages in that county.

Interesting....there are more Alabama Crimson Tide fans in Gwinnett County than Georgia Tech fans. Obviously, UGA is the top dog with the most fans in the County.

Interesting. Pretty much everyone is a fan of the team that is local. There's no other influence greater than where you live that affects your choice of favorite team. That alone makes the phenomenon of the "rabid fan" seem pretty ridiculous actually.
