Item Description: This offering includes one of the most sought after antique Colts available the 1849 Pocket andone of the most historical revolver built in 1861/1862 from one of the oldest gun and most recognized gun manufacturers in the U.S. Of A. That most gun admirers didn't realize built the second most revolvers used in the Civil War,
Both guns are so equal in condition and finish I will describe them together. The 1849 Colt built in 1953 and the Remington New a Police built in 1861/1862 are both completely matching serial number guns. Both have some original bluing scattered around on them with the balance of the metal finish being patina. There is no rust on either gun and maybe some very minor pitting caused by the aging of the metal. The bore is okay in both guns and could be extra good in the Remington. Both guns have the original Walnut Wood grips and neither have any splits or cracks. There is a small corner that has been patched many decades ago on the left front corner of the Remington that will probably not be noticed in the pictures and the bottom edge of the Colts grips are bruised from tapping on something.
The mechanical action on both the antiques are in 100% perfect working order which is amazing for 155+ year old guns that lived through turbulent times.
The prices on both the antique Colt and Remington is $985.00 each picked up here at my car shop or $1,875.00 for both guns
