Confused woman

I never saw it myself but when I lived in NC I heard people who lived around Raleigh describe a phenomenon. People would often come down from NJ, believe there is some connection with pharmaceutical companies. Anyway, a fully grown adult would pull into a gas station and then be completely befuddled. There was no one to pump to gas for them and then they weren't exactly sure how to do it. Something we take for granted everyone knows how to do, but not everyone does.
Saw it in Oregon too in 2012 if memory serves. You weren't allowed to pump your own fuel. I read they lifted that ban in 2022 or 2023.

Obviously staged. BUT ... I watched that very scenario play out many years ago in real life. Woman drove to 4-5 different pumps, then came inside furious to fuss at the workers about the pumps being on the "wrong side". Left declaring corporate would hear from her and she'd never visit another of their stations.

I agree that it is staged, but it does not surprise me when it happens for real. A prime example of people are clueless was a customer bringing his car to the shop because he could not open the right rear door using the inside handle. The child safely lock was on. The giveaway was the child's car seat:doh:

Well they hope she never comes back........
