Julie and I hit the river for maybe the last river trip of the season on Saturday. We have not been in several weeks but it was too nice of a day to pass up.
Just 3 fish for the day - 3lb Channel cat and a 8lb and 10lb Flathead. They weren't big but they fought like monsters. I do love the color variations on these Flatheads.
Decent sized bait was tough to come by in Brushy Branch. I threw the net 90 minutes to get 30 big gizzard shad after having to go looking for them in non-traditional areas. You can catch all the 2-3 inch shad you want right now though without much work at all.
Water temp in the Coosa was about 75 degrees.
