I've been reading up on this and it seems right up my ally. I enjoyed being in the woods with my dad hunting dear but never been interested in killing non-varmint animals. What are the laws on this in GA? Can I hunt at night? All season? Anyone know where a good place is near Savannah? Also, I read most people leave them where they drop. For some reason everything my dad has ever taught me about hunting says not to do that. Should I just bury them?

I just throw them in a gulley or wash in the woods and try to cover them. I kill most of mine during deer season though. Here is a pic of one I who last year with a 300 Ultra Mag. When deer hunting I will kill them with whatever rifle is in my hand.

All this money I put in my AR I figure I'd actually use it. Plus, it would be good training. I'm tempted to ask any farmers around this area if they have any Coyote problems. Show up with an AR and some camo... They'd be thinking I'm hunting Taliban.

I have a dedicated predator rifle which is a Colt HBAR Elite topped off with a Nikon M223, 4x12x42. With handloads it shoots under a quarter of an inch at 100 yards. And that pic of the coyote, when I shot her she came was coming out of the woods with a hind quarter in her mouth. It came from this fella in the below pic. They will devastate good hunting land. I retrieved the rack a couple weeks later.

Through it in a gulley in the woods and kicked leaves over it. Help keep buzzards away and reduce the smell while hunting even though I toss it where I don't hunt.

No problem. Where I hunt has a house in the middle of the property and I don't want my free hunting rights to 186 acres revoked for leaving animals where they fall. If I was on public land I probably would. I try to leave it as I found it. Also when you talk to property owners most can tell you the best places and times to see them. I have tried calling them with mixed results. They use cover extremely well. My best luck has been catching them crossing open ground from one tree line to the next.

Good advice. Does staying in one spot like deer hunting help or do you generally slowly move around? Also, should I not bother with calls since it such mixed results? I'm assuming I have to follow the same safety regs as deer hunting too? Orange vest?

No orange vest requirement. You can try calling if you like. I have just not mastered it lol. I usually use deer stands that I leave up in between the different stands of timber. And just time it right. I am an amateur when it comes to coyote hunting. I would not recommend moving around at all. If they wind you or see you they are gonna haul ass.
